After starring in “King the Land” and having successful solo activities, Lee Jun Ho will return with 2PM.
According to Star News on July 25th, boy group 2PM recently confirmed solo concerts in Korea and Japan. In particular, the group will hold concerts on September 9th and 10th at Seoul Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium, and on October 7th and 8th at Tokyo Ariake Arena, marking their first full-group concert in about six years since June 2017.
Notably, Lee Jun Ho, who has been primarily focused on acting activities in Korea, will join the 2PM concert, meeting fans after a long time.
Assuming the role of male lead Gu Won, Lee Jun Ho is currently gaining immense popularity through the JTBC drama “King the Land”. In particular, the singer-actor delivered an explosive romantic chemistry with Im Yoona, who plays the role of female lead Cheon Sa Rang.
Thanks to Lee Jun Ho’s acting performance, “King the Land” has achieved the highest viewer ratings of 12.3%, along with immense popularity both in and outside of Korea. From the 10th to the 16th of July, it also topped Netflix’s global top 10 TV (non-English) category. It seems that following his success in the 2021 MBC drama “The Red Sleeve”, Lee Jun Ho has achieved a consecutive hit with “King the Land.”
As a reliable “idol-actor”, Lee Jun Ho firmly establishes his position while simultaneously pursuing a solo career without rest. On July 22nd and 23rd, he held performances at Yokohama Pia Arena MM in Japan, opening the door to his tour “Lee Jun Ho Arena Tour 2023 ‘Mata Aeru Hi’” (The day we meet again), which covers three cities in Japan with a total of six concerts.
During the same tour, Lee Jun Ho showcased his first performance of the special single “Can I” for his 10th-anniversary solo debut, which is set to be officially released on August 23rd.
At the same time, other 2PM members alongside Jun Ho, including Taecyeon, Chansung, Nichkhun, Wooyoung, and Jun. K, have also been actively engaged in various fields.
As 2PM have proven their resilience through individual activities even after military enlistment, fans’ expectations for 2PM’s return as a full group this fall are rising. Lee Jun Ho, who has been balancing singing and acting activities while traveling between Korea and Japan, is also expected to showcase his full potential alongside his fellow members on this rare occasion.
