Arjo Atayde and Heaven Peralejo were named as the country’s Best Actor and Best Actress in a Leading Role, respectively, at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2023.
Atayde earned the acting honor for his performance in the crime-thriller series “Cattleya Killer,” which also won the award-giving body’s Best Drama Series and Best Cinematography in the Philippines. The national winners were announced on Thursday, Sept. 28.
Peralejo emerged as the country’s Best Actress in a Leading Role for her portrayal in the film “Nanahimik ang Gabi.”
Meanwhile, the TV series “Dirty Linen” won the Best Promo or Trailer and Best Direction (Fiction) awards. Other national winners were Isabelle Daza and Sue Ramirez who bagged the Best Comedy Actress and Best Actress in a Supporting Role awards, respectively, for their performances in the TV series “K Love.”

The national winners are set to “go on to the next level” at the grand awards and the gala awards which will be both held in Singapore on Dec. 7.
