Kathryn Bernardo’s mother has responded to speculations that the Kapamilya star is moving to another network following her breakup with Daniel Padilla.
Entertainment journalist MJ Felipe reported on Tuesday, Dec. 12 that Min Bernardo denied the rumors in a text message. “Nooooo,” she said. “Hindi siya aalis ng Kapamilya network!”
The local actress has been the subject of network transfer rumors since she confirmed her split with her reel and former real life partner in late November. She said that they have been “drifting apart for a while now” and that they had to accept that things will never be the same for them again.
Some vlogs and blind items then claimed that she has been considering offers by other networks and that she will no longer be a Kapamilya soon.
Kathryn has yet to comment on the claims as of writing.
KathNiel made their debut as a love team on the teen series Growing Up in 2010. It was followed by numerous projects such as Princess and I (2012), Got to Believe (2013), She’s Dating the Gangster (2014), Pangako Sa’yo (2015), Crazy Beautiful You (2015), Barcelona: A Love Untold (2016), La Luna Sangre (2017), and The Hows of Us (2018).
Their onscreen romance eventually blossomed off-screen, with the two finally confirming their years-long relationship in 2018.
Kathryn is set to star in an upcoming movie dubbed Elena 1944, which will be directed by Olivia Lamasan. Film production will start next year.
