Britney Spears appears to SLAM Justin Timberlake in cryptic post – after he REFUSED to make an apology to her: ‘Will you go home crying to your mom?

Britney Spears has appeared to throw shade at her ex Justin Timberlake in a cryptic new post that fans are convinced is aimed squarely at the former N*SYNC star.

Timberlake, 43, first stirred the pot again on Wednesday night when performing in New York City where he said: ‘I’d like to take this opportunity to apologise, to absolutely f***ing nobody.’

His comment appeared to be a dig at Spears, as somebody who attended the gig claimed he made the remark just before performing Cry Me A River, a 2002 break up song which he wrote about the singer.

Timberlake previously apologized to both Britney Spears and Janet Jackson in 2021 – in the wake of the documentary Framing Britney Spears – saying that he had ‘failed’ both women in the past (referring to Janet’s 2004 Super Bowl debacle.)

But now it seems Spears is hitting back further, as on Thursday the singer took to her Instagram account to write: ‘Someone told me someone was talking s**t about me on the streets !!!’

‘Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time ??? I’m not sorry !!!’

Timberlake was seemingly hitting back at Spears‘ recent apology to him for writing about their relationship in her memoir.

Last week, Justin released his new single Selfish, which marked his first solo song release since 2018, when he launched his album Man of the Woods.

Britney’s fanbase responded by sending her 13-year-old bonus track by the same name skyrocketing up the charts, ultimately dethorning him on U.S. iTunes.

Following the move, Britney took to social media to praise Justin’s new music and apologise for ‘some of the things’ she said in her memoir, The Woman In Me.

However, Justin apparently hasn’t reacted well to the post, as he hinted at how he felt about it during a recent concert in New York City.

The video clip of him ‘apologising to absolutely nobody’ has now gone viral on X.

Britney said she ‘never intended for people to come after Justin’ when she decided to open up about their three-year relationship in her 2023 autobiography.

Her fans were outraged when the tell-all exposed several bombshells, including the claim that Justin had urged her to have an abortion.

According to one insider, Britney felt extreme guilt over the fallout that her former partner faced in the wake of her book’s publication – having been unaware of what a commotion her confessions would spark.

A source exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com: ‘She didn’t realize how powerful her words would be.

‘Regarding what she said in her book, she never intended for people to come after Justin in the way that they did.

‘Ultimately it was Britney’s decision to abort her baby. It was her body and had she really wanted to say no, she could have.’

Britney extended an olive branch to her ex as she apologised on Instagram for ‘some of the things’ she wrote, while also praising Justin’s two new songs Selfish and Sanctified.

The insider stressed that Britney still wishes the best for her former partner – who still hasn’t contacted Britney to apologize for his alleged actions.

The source said: ‘You will always have feelings for the first person that you loved. Justin has come to her defense before, and she didn’t want to hurt him like she did and change the opinion people have of him…

‘It was her story and she told it how she felt it needed to be told.’

‘I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book,’ she wrote. ‘If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry…

‘I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song “Selfish” It is so good and how come everytime I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard? Ps “Sanctified” is wow too.’

Justin was trolled by Britney’s fans after telling her side of the story two decades on from their split, with many left angered by her claim that his single Cry Me a River saw her vilified for their break up.
