It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda recalled how actor Aga Muhlach was the reason why he met his partner and co-host Ion Perez.
In his recent vlog, the Unkabogable Star revealed that it was Aga who introduced him to his now partner in the latter’s guest appearance on his show Gandang Gabi Vice in 2017.
“Natatandaan mo ba, after a few years, tinext kita. Yun yung pinakamahalagang GGV moment ko kasi nga yung guy na yun na pinakilala mo sa akin, nakatuluyan ko,” Vice said as the two reminisced about Aga’s previous guesting on his Sunday late night show.
The vlog then showed an old clip of Vice interviewing Aga about his relationship which the former wished to have someday. They then noticed a group of male pageant contestants, which included Ion, in the audience with whom Vice interacted.
“Can you be my husband?” the Kapamilya personality jokingly asked Ion whom he didn’t know yet at the time.
“Lapitan mo kasi,” Aga then teased.
The actor also asked Ion to go to the stage with them and get closer to Vice, where the latter started to act shy.
Vice then shared that he actually didn’t remember Ion when he the latter started to work on It’s Showtime.
The noontime show host then remembered how he and Ion started to finally interact and get to know each other.
Vice continued: “Doon na kami nagsimula maglandian after a few weeks.
Vice also presented a video greeting from Ion as he expressed his gratitude to Aga and asked him to become their godparent at their next wedding.
“Hello, Kuya Aga!
Salamat po, Kuya Aga,” he expressed.
Vice then told Aga that his partner actually asked him to tell the actor that they finally got married at the Las Vegas Chapel in Nevada, USA in October 2021.
“Kahit noong nagpakasal kami, sinabi niya, ‘Sinabi mo kay Aga?’ Sabi ko, ‘Oo, nagtext ako sa kaniya. Sinabi ko mag-asawa na tayo,’” Vice recalled.
“Congrats ah! I’m really happy for you guys. Seriously, parang wala talaga, when the stars align, it really happens. It’s really in God’s perfect time. Always,” Aga said.
The comedian-host then expressed, “Kaya hindi ka namin makakalimutan. Hinding-hindi ka namin makakalimutan ni Ion. Kapag kinasal ulit kami, ninong ka talaga.”
Aga also told Vice his admiration for his and his partner’s relationship as he watched them working together.
“I have so much respect for you guys, really for you and Ion. I see you guys play, poke fun at It’s Showtime I was like, sabi ko ‘sarap’. Ang galing, ang galing!” the 54-year-old actor remarked.
