BTS member V (real name Kim Tae-hyung) gave an update on his weight after two months of military enlistment
On February 15th, V made a post to greet fans on BTS’s fan community platform Weverse. He said, “I will make a report in the middle of the process. I’ve achieved 72.5kg. I’ll be back. Salute!”, revealing that his current weight is over 70kg.
Until before his enlistment, V has maintained a slim and skinny body figure with a height of 179cm and a weight of 62kg.
Entering the Nonsan Army Training Center in Chungcheongnam-do on December 11th last year, V has been deployed to the Ssangyong Unit of the ROK II Corps in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, and is fulfilling his military service.
In his live broadcast before enlisting, V surprised fans when he declared that he would gain weight to reach 86kg. The male idol said, “I will go to the army and build up my physical strength”.
At that time, V said to the member, “I’m enlisting to bulk up”, making a promise to show a more manly appearance after completing his military service.
