Former FPJ’s Batang Quiapo actress Lovi Poe is set to star in an international indie film, Bad Man.
In her Instagram post, Lovi revealed that she will be part of the film as she shared some snaps from her stay in Alabama, USA.
“So happy to finally announce being part of BAD MAN. Can’t wait to share more about this amazing film with an even more amazing cast! 🎬,” she wrote in the caption.

She added, “Yes, this was the reason why I was in Alabama!”
Alongside Lovi’s post were photos and videos of herself on the set with actors Sean William Scott (from American Pie) and Chance Perdomo (from After We Fell).
As reported in an exclusive story by Deadline, Johnny Simmons (from The Perks of Being a Wallflower), Rob Riggle (from 21 Jump Street), and Andre Hyland (from Barry) will be part of the cast together with Lovi, Sean, and Chance.
Production on the action-comedy movie has already wrapped.
Inspired by a true story, the film will follow a state cop (played by Sean) who shows up in a small town with a big meth problem and immediately butts heads with a straitlaced local deputy (played by Johnny) as they attempt to solve a murder.
The film will be the directorial debut of film producer Michael Diliberti, who co-wrote the screenplay with JJ Nelson.
Lovi’s husband, Monty Blencowe, is also part of the film as the producer with Shaun Sanghani for SSS Entertainment, as well as Warner Davis and Todd Friedman for Hemlock Circle Productions and Brian Levy for Entertainment 360.
Deadline also noted that the film will be introduced in Berlin by Jeffrey Giles and Michael Lurie of The Syndicate, who will be repping international rights and co-repping domestically with UTA Independent Film Group.
The release date of the film has yet to be announced.

On January 4, the Kapamilya actress made her official exit from the hit primetime series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo .
Lovi took to her Instagram to express her gratitude to everyone who supported her journey as Mokang.
“I am truly blessed to have been part of a project that represents my father’s name. It was a first and it will always mean the world to me,” she penned.
The actress added: “You have given me a missing piece to my puzzle. For that, I will always be grateful.”
