McCoy de Leon touches the hearts of his loved ones on his special day.
At the party thrown for his 29th birthday on February 20, 2024, McCoy prepared a speech to thank and acknowledge his partner Elisse Joson and daughter Felize McKenzie de Leon.
He began his message by revealing a promise he made to himself: “Pinangako ko sa sarili ko pag nag-birthday ako, anak ko yung bida kasi niligtas niya ang buhay ko.
“Para na rin akong ipinanganak dahil sa kanya. Utang na loob ko yung buhay ko sa kanya [Felize] ngayon.
“Siya yung dahilan nandito pa din po ako ngayon sa harapan ninyo.”
Addressing two-year-old girl, he continued, “Ayun, Felize, kung di mo pa naiintindihan, basta gusto ko lang sabihin na mahal na mahal kita.
“Niligtas mo si Daddy, binigyan mo ng chance si Daddy.”
To his long-time girlfriend: “Sa partner ko, Elisse ko, thank you so much and I love you.
“Alam mo mahirap talaga pero sabi ko wala akong, wala nang rason para sumuko.
“Harapin natin nang sama-sama ‘to. Yun lang, I love you.”
ELISSE’S MESSAGE
For Elisse’s part, she posted a short reel of snippets from the day of the celebration, with an audio letter dedicated to McCoy.
Elisse’s letter began, “To our dear daddy McCoy, hi!
“It’s me wishing you a day full of precious time to enjoy, to rest, to stop and admire how far you’ve come…
“To appreciate little moments like this, to eat and feel good, to see life’s greatest blessings, to laugh and take it slow.
“It’s me wishing you more days like this, dreams coming true and a happy, happy heart.”
The video ended with Felize singing the birthday song for her daddy.
RELATIONSHIP CRISIS
Things have not been always been smooth-sailing between McCoy and Elisse.
Early last year, McCoy was caught up in rumors of an affair involving Viva artist Mary Joy Santiago.
On January 4, 2023, McCoy confirmed in an Instagram Story that he and Elisse have broken up, but clarified that there was no third party.
He wrote back then (published as is), “Wala po involve na ibang tao ang pinaka rason kaya kami naghiwalay. Sana po maniwala po kayo.
“Hindi ko po intensyon manakit ng tao o manloko. Sadyang dumating lang po sa point na sobrang bigat ng problema kaya po ako sumuko.
“Sana maintindihan niyo po ako. Ginagawa ko lang po to dahil mapakita ko lang sa anak ko na naipagtanggol kahit pa paano sarili ko.
“Uulitin ko po humihingi rin po ako ng pasensya sa inyo lahat.”
