There’s no denying that netizens’ emotions are still running *high* after the announcement of Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque’s canceled engagement and possible breakup.
On February 11, 2024, Bea confirmed the rumors after days of speculation from netizens and from a statement made by Boy Abunda.
“After much thought, consideration, and care, we have mutually decided to amicably end our engagement. It was not an easy decision. We wanted to have more time to carefully deliberate and pray about it, but there have been many speculations, questions, and insults,” she wrote.
And with emotions still running high, it can be easy to mistake one celeb for another. Case in point: One netizen thought that Bela Padilla was Bea, LOL!

Bela recently took to Instagram to share the sweetest snaps of her and her Swiss beau, Norman Bay, for their anniversary.
“To the person who supports my mission to finish Hogwarts Legacy on the PlayStation and will happily take over the stages that are too scary for me, happy anniversary ?? and I miss you!” she wrote.
And while her fellow celebs and netizens flocked to the comments section to send their well-wishes, one commenter was visibly ~*distressed*~ by her sweet post.
“Bakit anniversary? Ano yung kay Dominic? Kaloka nakakawalang respeto sa self,” they commented, to which Bela simply responded with three question marks.
There was also another netizen who got the two actresses mixed up and noted that “Bea” was better off with an AFAM and claimed that she did not deserve “Dominic.”
