When a relationship comes to an end, some might say that you can never be friends with your ex, but not for Jericho Rosales.
The actor, who recently broke things off with his longtime love Kim Jones, recounted their separation in an interview with Cosmopolitan Philippines.
According to him, when the couple’s godfather Ricci Ocampo confirmed the news in January earlier this year, they were actually talking to each other on the phone and “laughing” about the whole thing.
“We thought that it was the perfect time because the goal was really to show people that we’re good. We’re really good. We’ve crossed over, you know, we’ve transformed the relationship into something really special as friends,” Jericho said.
He shared that he and Kim still support each other when it comes to projects and still collaborate as artists.
“Actually, I’m working with her on her new project because she’s producing a film for someone. So, I’m also supporting that,” Jericho said.
Apart from this, he is also set to star in a new film titled Eliseo, which was co-written by Kim.
While the local star acknowledged that some people were sad about their love story coming to an end, he still looked at the brighter side of things.
“I think the best part was that it was considered a ‘success’ when we felt that people understood and people saw that things like this can happen. And it shouldn’t always be sad. It shouldn’t always be a bad thing. You know what I mean?” Jericho said.
