MANILA — Viu on Thursday released the second trailer for the Philippine adaptation of the hit South Korean series “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim,” starring Kapamilya actors Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino.
The over two-minute preview shows more romantic scenes between Secretary Kim (Chiu) and her “perfect boss” Brandon Manansala-Castillo (Avelino).
It also showed scene where Boss Brandon asked Secretary Kim to marry him to prevent her from leaving him.
The trailer also showed scenes introducing the character of Morpheus portrayed by Jake Cuenca.
In the Korean original, Morpheus (played by Lee Tae-hwan) is Young-joon’s (Park Seo-joon) older brother who has a crush on Mi-so (Park Min-young).

The newest trailer also showed scene of South Korean actor Kim Won-shik’s character.

The trailer ended with a sweet scene where Boss Brandon is set to kiss Secretary Kim.
Directed by Chad Vidanes, ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?’ will be available for streaming exclusively on Viu starting March 18.
Also joining the Philippine adaptation of “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” are Pepe Herrera, Angeline Quinto, Kaori Oinuma, Gillian Vicencio, Yves Flores, Janice de Belen, Franco Laurel, Romnick Sarmenta, and Cai Cortez.

The webtoon-based Korean series not only topped the local ratings when it aired in 2018, but also gained widespread popularity globally.
This is the third adaptation of a top rating international format between ABS-CBN and Viu, following “The Broken Marriage Vow” and “Flower of Evil.”
Avelino and Chiu are also the stars of “Linlang: The Teleserye Version,” which is currently airing on primetime.
