Some McDonald's Fans Left Disappointed Over Triple Cheeseburger

McDonald’s launched its highly anticipated triple cheeseburger earlier this month, but some burger-lovers have been left feeling slightly deflated after seeing what they received compared to the advert.

The triple cheeseburger went on sale on 2 September for £2.19 and consists of three beef patties, cheese, pickles, onions, ketchup and mustard in a bun – sounds good, eh?

Announcing the new addition, McDonald’s said: “Following a successful trial period earlier this year, the Triple Cheeseburger will now officially join the Saver Menu as a permanent addition from Wednesday 2 September.”

Plenty of McDonald’s fans were keen to pick one up, but after getting their paws on it, some diners have been left feeling pretty disappointed.

Taking to Twitter, one person shared a snap of their burger writing: “Shame mine didn’t look like the advert.”

Another person shared what they were given alongside a promo shot, with the caption: “Thanks for my new triple cheeseburger McDonald’s. Exactly how it was advertised. #pathetic.”

Someone else wrote: “Pointless triple cheeseburger. Should’ve just called it the McRiot. The double is far superior.”

While a fourth unhappy punter wrote: “The new triple cheeseburger was a bit of a disappointment compared to what was advertised.”

Others complained that they’d actually been served up a double cheeseburger, despite paying for and asking for a triple.

With one hungry customer posting: “You just sold me a double cheeseburger for the price of a triple cheeseburger can you sort it out please?”

A spokesperson from McDonald’s told Mirror Online: “Our new triple cheeseburger has been an incredibly popular new launch and we have been pleased to see the great reaction from many of our customers across social media and in our restaurants.

“We appreciate that some haven’t arrived with customers in their best form, and we apologise for any disappointment, but they are still the same delicious burger made from 100 percent British and Irish beef.”
