Japanese media outlet Shūkan Bunshun is facing backlash.
On April 4, Japanese’s media outlet Shūkan Bunshun released more alleged evidence of LE SSERAFIM‘s Kazuha and &TEAM K‘s relationship in their membership page. The outlet had teased more photos in their initial article accusing the idols of dating.
The evidence, however, has sparked outcry and backlash aimed at the outlet. According to Korean news outlet Xports News, the supposed new evidence presented were photos of the idols wearing similar earrings.
The evidence, or lack thereof, has sparked an outcry from Korean and Japanese netizens who lamented the media outlet for allegedly using K-Pop idols for views.
“HYBE and Source Music should immediately sue Shūkan Bunshin. This is the second time they (fabricated dating news), so what is holding us back from suing them? I’m confident we won’t lose.”
“Kazuha and K’s love affair claims… Shūkan Bunshun failed to provide additional evidence, another “embarrassment.” On the 4th, Shukan Bunshun reported the rumors of a love affair between Kazuha and K in the paid section of its paper but was unable to provide any other evidence apart from the photo it released at 12 noon on the 3rd.”
