Chris Hemsworth Interrupts Weather Report And Reads Out The Forecast

A weather report in Australia was brightened up by the surprise appearance of Chris Hemsworth. You can watch the report here:

Lauren Phillips was broadcasting from a field in Scone, New South Wales, on Saturday on the Weekend Today when the Thor actor wandered into the background – much to the shock of hosts Richard Wilkins and Rebecca Maddern in the studio.

The 37-year-old then took the microphone from Lauren and proceeded to read the forecast.

He said: “Hello to all my friends in Melbourne. I am a Victorian. But that rain, get your brollies out I reckon.

“Perth, sunny 19, Geraldton mostly sunny, mostly that means there’s going to be no sun at some point. Karratha 36, heating up slip slop slap.”

His forecast got the seal of approval from Lauren, who said: “You’ve made my job look very easy there, you might just have to take over.”

She then asked the star why exactly he happened to be passing through this field in Scone.

The Marvel actor explained: “I’m here visiting the guys at Aussie Ark and WildArk who are doing some amazing conservation work in protecting Australia’s ecosystems.”

Hemsworth recently revealed that he has no plans to stop playing Thor anytime soon.

He’s played the character since 2011 across eight films and clearly he still has an appetite for more.

Asked by Poland’s Elle Man if Love and Thunder would be his final outing as Thor, Hemsworth replied: “Are you crazy?! I’m not going into any retirement period.

“Thor is way too young for that. I’m only 1500 years old! It is definitely not a film that I say goodbye to this brand [in]. At least I hope so.”

Speaking about the upcoming film, which is now scheduled for release in 2022, he said: “After reading the script, I can say that I am very excited. For sure there will be a lot of love and a lot of lightning in this production.

“I’m glad that after all that happened in Avengers: Endgame, I’m still part of the Marvel Universe and we can continue the story of Thor.

“Of course, I can’t tell you anything about the plot, but to satisfy your curiosity, I’ll say that I had a lot more fun reading the script than on Thor: Ragnarok, and that proves something, because that movie was brilliant.”
