Vice Ganda explained the dynamics of his friendship with Anne Curtis after a netizen cited an instance wherein the comedian became “physically violent” toward her “It’s Showtime” co-host in one segment of the noontime show.
On X (formerly Twitter), a follower replied to a video reposted by Vice Ganda in which the comedian-host was teasing around with Curtis, exchanging sassy looks then laughing it off and hugging each other afterwards.
The netizen mentioned that it’s okay to fool around but that the comedian should draw the line and not inflict physical abuse.
“Ok lang yung mag-bwisitan at asaran pero ‘wag mong pisikalin si Anne. Meme, respect mo pa rin pagiging babae niya. I have watched one time sa Tawag ng Tanghalan biniro ka ni Jhong, may nilagay sa buhok mo tapos bigla mong sinabunutan si Anne, napagbintangan mo siya. Respect mo pa rin sya.” said the follower.
(It’s OK to tease each other, but don’t get physical with Anne. Meme, you still need to respect her as a woman. I have watched one time in Tawag ng Tanghalan, Jhong did a joke on you by putting something on your hair and then you suddenly tweaked Anne, suspecting it was she who did it. You should still respect her.)
Vice Ganda addressed the netizen’s comment, saying, “‘Wag niyo po kaming alalahanin. Kami mo po ang may relasyon kaya kami po ang magdedecide kung paano kami maghaharutan. Iba iba po ang dynamics ng mga magkakaibigan.”
(Don’t worry about us. We are the ones who are in friendship, so we will decide how we will treat each other. Friends have different dynamics.)
Some netizens also defended the “Sisterakas” star’s statement, saying the friendship of the “It’s Showtime” hosts is not for them to judge.
Vice Ganda then reposted a video of her and Curtis’ sweet moments and wrote in the caption, “God knows how much I love my sisterette!”
