We believe that friendship breakups hurt more than relationship breakups. And unfortunately, we’re witnessing another fallout between two celebrities, Jayda Avanzado and Francine Diaz.
This was what Jayda disclosed in an interview with Cristy Fermin. It’s been a long time since Jayda and Francine last talked to each other under amicable circumstances.
“Matagal na rin po kaming hindi nag-uusap. ‘Yung huli po siguro naming pag-uusap ‘nung birthday niya po nung binati ko siya in private,” she admitted during the interview.
When asked about the reason behind their sudden fallout, Jayda decided to keep mum on exactly how their friendship went downhill. “Meron rin pong nangyaring hindi pagkaka-unawaan sa’ming dalawa. Kumbaga nagkaroon rin po ng disagreements,” the young singer stated.
Prying more into Jayda and Francine’s story, the issue about Jayda and Andrea Brillantes was brought up during the interview. It’s not a secret that former co-stars Francine and Andrea share a sad history, with them also having a fallout.
Jayda professed that she experienced some backlash after posting a photo with Andrea in the past. “Totoo po na nagkasama po kami ni Blythe (Andrea) sa isang party. Parang nagkataon lang rin po talaga kasi co-host siya nung party na ‘yon. Nag-picture po talaga kami kasi maliit lang naman po ‘yung mundo ng showbiz,” she expressed.
“In respect to the events, sa ngayon po, hindi ko na po i-elaborate ang mga detalye,” she added.
Although Jayda refused to give details about her friendship fallout with Francine, she clarified her thought process when she took a pic with Andrea at a party. “Pero ito na lang po sasabihin ko, ‘yung picture po namin ni Blythe, importante po na nakikisama po ako sa lahat ng tao sa industriya,” Jayda proclaimed.

Jayda Avanzado and Francine Diaz’s friendship
Jayda and Francine have long shown their support for each other. Their close friendship began when they coincidentally boarded the same flight in 2019.
Jayda once referred to Francine as her “soul sister.” At the same time, Francine described Jayda as her “go-to person” whenever she’s down. “Kapag alam niya na meron akong pinagdadaanan or malungkot ako, talagang gumagawa siya ng way para gumaan yung pakiramdam ko,” Francine shared in an interview.
Jayda also made a song inspired by one of her conversations with Francine. Consequently, Francine starred in the music video for that song, which was called, “M.U.” Jayda asked the former Kadenang Ginto star to appear in the song’s music video as her way of saying thanks to Francine.
The two have been inseparable when they were not working in the past. They have shared at-home dinners, sleepovers, and sometimes just random bestie calls.
At present, Francine is preparing for her new film with love team partner Seth Fedelin, My Future Is You. While Jayda is focusing on her career as a singer. She recently starred in the online series, Teen Clash.
