Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings are set to send their “SnoopRene” fans gushing anew as the pair hinted that they are starring in a new project together.
Racal and Jennings, whose love team as Irene and Snoop in the TV series “Can’t Buy Me Love” earned praises among viewers, met with film director JP Laxamana, as seen on the actors’ respective Instagram pages on Wednesday, March 6.
The actors, however, opted not to disclose further details on the project, with Racal only captioning her post with “Hi” and a smiling face.
Jennings, for his part, wrote: “Don’t forget to pray everyday. Maraming salamat po!”
Laxamana—known for helming films “100 Tula para kay Stella,” “Just a Stranger” and “Between Maybes,”among others—then expressed his excitement to work with Racal again “after [eight] years.”
Racal and Jennings also recently starred in the music video of singer-actor Darren Espanto’s latest single “Iyo.”
Racal and Jennings star in “Can’t Buy Me Love” alongside love-team partners Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, Kaila Estrada, Karina Bautista, Rowell Santiago, Agot Isidro, Ruffa Gutierrez and Nova Villa, among others.
Jennings earlier addressed remarks about their love team being a scene stealer in the TV series, with the actor saying he has opted to focus on his craft and not on such accusations.
“Magkakaibigan lang tayo dito at wala namang [sapawan] sa amin,” he stressed. “Kailangan niyong magtulungan. Ang isang project, hindi pwedeng isa lang ang gumagawa… Paano niyo mabubuo ang story nang kayo lang? Kailangan niyo ng connection sa isa’t isa.”
