Sharon Cuneta opens up on worrying about ‘uncertainties’

Days after reflecting about leaving the show biz industry, megastar Sharon Cuneta opened up about her personal concerns behind what she called her “charmed life,” saying she too had her fair share of life’s ups and downs, and worrying and caring about her loved ones.

In her latest vlog, Cuneta bared that despite her well-established career and multifaceted personality, she continues to persevere to be able to prepare for the future – a maxim that she learned early on from her father, the late former Pasay City Mayor Pablo Cuneta.

“Generally naman, like I said, blessed, while you see me as an accomplished individual, I have my own share or worries. I still worry about my kids, my husband, my family, and that’s just normal. Sabi nga nila, you worry because you care,” she said.

Some of these worries she summed up as S.A.D., which stands for sickness, accidents, and death/disabilities. Cuneta reminded viewers that while these are these are inevitable, there are ways to prepare for the eventualities before they happen, and for one to have peace of mind.

“There is a way to free yourself from these worries. Just a small trivia from someone born in the sixties, noong araw ang tawag namin sa insurance ay seguro, which is a Spanish word meaning ‘sure’, or in Tagalog, tiyak. It frees you from the anxieties you have about the future of your loved ones should any of the sad uncertainties happen to you,” Cuneta said.

On Instagram, Cuneta reposted several quote cards about peace of mind and kindness.

Earlier, she discussed about leaving the industry, saying that “she won’t need a big concert or any bells” to announce her departure.

“I am very much enjoying my private life. When I leave, I won’t need a big concert or any bells and whistles to say goodbye. I will do it quietly,” she captioned her post.

The Megastar said that the only thing she will be bringing is the “love” that the people, especially the fans, have given her.
