May bago na namang karamdamang natuklasan kay Kris Aquino.
Ito ang ibunanyag ng TV host-actress sa pag-uusap nila ng kanyang matalik na kaibigan at entertainment editor na si Dindo Balares.
Sa Instagram nitong nakaraang Mother’s Day, May 12, 2024, ipinaabot ni Kris, sa pamamagitan ni Dindo, ang pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga nagdarasal para sa kanyang kalusugan.
Sabi ni Kris, “Can you please thank everyone praying for me?”
Sa post din ni Kris noong Mother’s Day, nagpasalamat siya sa kaibigang sina Anne Binay at Senator Nancy Binay dahil sa pagtanggap nito sa anak na si Josh Aquino bilang kabahagi ng kanilang pamilya.
Dito rin nabanggit ni Kris na nagpakonsulta siya sa isang cardiologist, isang espesyalista sa puso.

KRIS AQUINO MEDICAL UPDATE: HEART PROBLEM, HIGH CHOLESTEROL, TRIGLYCERIDES
Bukod sa problema sa kanyang puso, mataas din daw ang kanyang cholesterol level.
Dagdag na kuwento ni Kris, “There’s a problem with my heart, Kuya Dindo – genetics. Very high cholesterol and triglycerides that at this point can’t be treated because I am underweight (91 lbs).
Biro raw ni Dindo, “Palit tayo ng heart.”
Sabi pa ni Kris, “My BP (blood pressure) is misbehaving -I am normally 145/122 with heartrate of 110-130. It’s the diastolic & heart rate na scary.
“Kuya Dindo let’s focus on this. My autoimmune is finally responding to the methotrexate (my chemotherapy). Finally! And the good air quality in Newport Coast.
“Can you please thank everyone praying for me?
“Magaling talaga the combination of medicine I’m being given. It’s just that after the Methotrexate & Dupixent I am super bagsak for four days. UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) is very impressive. We don’t have Dupixent at home.”
Sa bagong update ni Dindo kahapon, May 15, 2024, napag-usapan nila ni Kris ang tungkol sa life span history ng mga kapamilya ng TV host.
Isa rito ang tungkol sa maagang pagpanaw ng kanyang lolo, sakit ng amang si dating senador na si Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., at kapatid na si former President Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III.
Sabi umano nito, “My dad’s dad died 55 years old from a massive heart attack.
“My dad had his heart attack and triple bypass at 47.
“Noy had an angioplasty 5 weeks before he die.”
Noong January 2024, sinabi ni Kris na masyado nang naging kumplikado ang usapin tungkol sa kanyang kalusugan.
Sa panayam naman kay Kris sa Fast Talk With Boy Abunda noong February 14, 2024, mismong kaarawan niya, sinabi nitong patuloy siyang lalaban kahit may kaunting tsansa lamang ng kaligtasang nakikita ang kanyang mga doktor.
