Back in 2018, Seungri starred in acomedy documentary for Netflix called YG Future Strategy Office, where a new department was created called the Future Strategy Office. The purpose of the department is for the company’s troublemaking artists and misfits to have been sent, and Seungri was chosen to be the head of the department.
The documentary contained huge stars, including the members of BLACKPINK.
There were also moments where the BLACKPINK members had to share their “feelings” being around Seungri, and they all pointed at a negative narrative

There was even a clip where Sunmi pointed out that sunbaenims told her to stay away from Seungri, especially her female seniors.
When the clips were shared by an OP online, it instantly gained attention with over 24,000 likes in 24 hours.
When the tweet was shared, it gained a lot of attention as netizens shared more clips from the show and how it showcased Seungri’s “creepy” behavior. Although it was all for entertainment, netizens found it interesting that he was “playing” this kind of role just for the new videos and allegations to resurface, showcasing his personality.
While netizens aren’t claiming there’s a link between the scandal and the narrative of the series when it was created, it’s not surprising that it’s being brought back and gaining a lot of attention.
