Fil-French athlete Emilienne Vigier recently celebrated her 26th birthday with her friends and Joshua Garcia, who she called “my person.”
Emilienne shared cozy photos of her and Joshua during her intimate birthday celebration and their travels together abroad.
“[A]vec ma personne,” she wrote in the caption, which translates to “with my person” in English.
She also shared a part of their private conversation.
“Pinag trabahuan mo talaga ako ng isang buwan para lang pumayag ka na mag dinner nun,” her caption read. “Oo syempre, bakit? Nr replies first. Who u?” she added, saying that she loves her simple life with Joshua.
In a separate post, Emilienne shared glimpses of her birthday celebration where she thanked her friends for “always being present and real.”
My bestest friend reminded me (all the time actually) lots of times last night that I am loved by many and I know so when I always see the same people show up for me & others from our shmoll circle since 2017,” she wrote.
“Merci fwends for always being present and real (& the rest who I have no photos with basta happy kayo ok na ako),” she continued. “Masaya buhay ko dahil nandiyan kayo. I appreciate and love y’all so much, I really cried a river of gratitude this morning,” she concluded her post.
The two sparked dating rumors when netizens noticed some similarities in their Instagram posts and stories in July 2023.
Emilienne later seemed to have soft-launched her relationship with the local star when she posted on her Instagram Story pictures of the two of them wearing workout clothes.
Joshua previously spoke up regarding the rumors, saying he does not deny the budding romance between him and the athlete. He explained that both of them have decided to keep things “private.”
“Hindi ko siya dini-deny. It’s just that, ako and her decided not to share it to everyone. Kasi yung relationship na ‘yan ay kami lang naman ‘yung parte doon, e,” he said during the press conference of his new film, Fruitcake.
He added that keeping his affairs “private” was one of the lessons he had learned from his past relationships where he had been vocal and more open about it to the public.
Joshua was previously linked with vlogger Bella Racelis before Emilienne. His last public relationship, which was with Julia Barretto, ended in 2019 after two years of being together.
