A 59-year-old man went to a blind date event and was surprised to meet his sister-in-law’s sister.
In China, a 59-year-old man named Mr. Liu participated in a blind date event. He never expected that the chosen candidate would turn out to be someone he knew.
Mr. Liu, 59, living alone, receives a monthly pension of 4,000 RMB (about 14 million VND) and owns a spacious 60m2 house. He is very fond of housework, especially maintaining an excessively clean environment. Every day, he tidies up his house twice, in the morning and evening. If someone stays overnight, he immediately changes or washes the bedding the next day. His cleanliness habits worry his friends, but Mr. Liu sees it as his advantage.
Ten years ago, Mr. Liu’s wife unfortunately passed away in an accident. Losing his beloved wife, Mr. Liu suffered for many years. Over time, the pain healed, and all his children got married, so he wanted to find someone to accompany him, to alleviate his loneliness, as reported by Sohu.
Talking to the matchmaker in the blind date program, Mr. Liu expressed his desire to find a companion who is not older than him, nor too young, around 50-58 years old. His second requirement was that the person must not have “family burdens”. If the person’s children haven’t married yet, he would also refuse. The third requirement was that the person must be tidy. After understanding Mr. Liu’s criteria in detail, the matchmaker arranged for him to meet Ms. Li, an attractive 50-year-old woman.
Ms. Li, 50, has a youthful appearance and is quick-witted. She has been through a marriage but is now divorced. Currently, her income is over 3,000 RMB per month (over 10 million VND), and she owns a spacious 68m2 house where she lives alone.
The “acquaintance” of Mr. Liu at the matchmaking event surprised both of them. Despite being busy, Ms. Li feels lonely in her spare time. She wants to find someone to be friends with, to share the sweetness and bitterness of life together.
Ms. Li shared: “I want to find someone with good character, who knows how to cultivate themselves, is responsible and dedicated to family, and lives affectionately. Emotional compatibility is also very important, and it can only be known by meeting in person.”
