ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin held a press conference on April 25, 2024, to address her current feud with HYBE. Reportedly, she attempted to “usurp” the management, which she denies.
During the press conference, Min Hee Jin responded to reports that she accused HYBE‘s chairman and founder, Bang Si Hyuk (also known as Hitman Bang or Bang PD), of “copying” her for BTS. She also denied ever having said this.
Everyone who knows me knows that I have stocks and have received things. The things revealed by HYBE are only to their advantage. To me, they are all false. Why are they calculating things like this? It makes no sense. There are too many things like this. I have never said that ‘BTS copied me.’
— Min Hee Jin
Yet, HYBE has also exposed Min Hee Jin for consulting shamans concerning her work. A reported conversation between her and a shaman included her saying, “I think I’ll stand to gain if they’re not here,” concerning BTS‘s military enlistment.
- Min Hee Jin: Will BTS go to the army or not?
- Shaman: They will.
- Min Hee Jin: Well, it’s better for me if BTS to goes to the army. Send them off LOL. What do you think?
- Shaman: I’m going to send them to the army. It’s not like they got gold medals or something.
- Min Hee Jin: I think I’ll stand to gain if they’re not here.
As everything comes to light, it puts Min Hee Jin’s past collaboration with a BTS member in a new perspective for ARMYs.
Last year, BTS’s V released his solo EP Layover ahead of his mandatory military enlistment. Korean media outlets reported that V had asked Min Hee Jin to collaborate with him on his solo venture. She was involved in the creative direction of the project.
I’m nervous, but happy too. This is an album that has my personal preferences. There will be a lot of things to show.
I prepared it while thinking that ARMY would be happy, so I hope you all look forward to it. You will be able to see solo artist V, which will show a new side and will be different from BTS’s V.

Min Hee Jin also gave a statement at the time. She revealed that she initially hesitated to work with him, claiming that it was due to schedule issues. Yet, she eventually agreed and accepted the proposal due to V’s passion and voice, which she admitted to not being “familiar” with.
I received the offer late last year. At first, I hesitated because of scheduling issues, but I was really interested in V’s attitude and passion, as well as his voice, since I didn’t really know his voice that well.
What I want the fans to pay attention to this time is the music itself. I have prepared songs that reflect V’s personal taste but also music that I suggested to him.
We focused on music that we wanted to work on and music that we can easily take in, rather than music that is a familiar style.
I’ve been very busy, but I think we have a very fun product.

These comments made by Min Hee Jin have now resurfaced. Many ARMYs confessed that it never sat right with them that she spoke about the collaboration as if it was an “inconvenience.”
Netizens feel sympathetic towards V amidst Min Hee Jin’s feud with HYBE. They feel she was plotting against him, his group, and his company while he innocently worked with her on Layover.
