The chemistry between the male lead and the second female lead in “The Impossible Heir” outshines the main couple.
In the drama “The Impossible Heir”, which premiered worldwide on Disney+ on Feb 28th, the pairing of the male lead Han Tae Oh (played by Lee Jae Wook) and the second female lead Kang Hee Joo (played by Choi Hee Jin) has captivated viewers due to their incredible chemistry.
Han Tae Oh grew up in difficult circumstances, mocked by friends for being the son of a murderer. He is a friend of Kang In Ha – the illegitimate son of Kang Joong Mo, the chairman of Kangoh Group, and also the half-brother of Kang Hee Joo. Meanwhile, Kang Hee Joo is the youngest daughter of Kang Joong Mo, a bona fide heiress, arrogant and stubborn. She had a crush on Han Tae Oh during high school days and even confessed her feelings to him, only to be bluntly rejected. Many years later, when they meet again, Han Tae Oh has become the secretary of chairman Kang Joong Mo, but Kang Hee Joo still harbors feelings for him.
Not only is the romantic storyline with Han Tae Oh well-received, but the sibling relationship between Kang Hee Joo and Kang In Ha, who share the same father, is also adored by viewers.
Choi Hee Jin’s character Kang Hee Joo may be disliked by some due to her somewhat rebellious and stubborn personality, but honestly, I don’t find this character annoying or detestable at all. Choi Hee Jin’s portrayal is excellent, she acts very naturally, without any sense of forcing or pressure. It feels like this is Choi Hee Jin’s personality in real life.
Meanwhile, on Feb 27th, Dispatch reported that Lee Jae-wook and aespa Karina are dating. Both of their agencies confirmed the rumors. The two became closer after attending the Prada show at Milan Fashion Week in January.
