aespa member Winter showed off supportive messages she received from her family members, from her brother to her father
On May 8th, aespa’s Winter spent time communicating with fans on the paid communication platform Bubble. During the conversation, Winter said, “When I posted, ‘I’m tired’, on Instagram, my brother said he would solve everything for me, right?”. She mentioned the post showcasing her close relationship with her brother that became a hot topic.
She continued, “My dad saw it! And he said, ‘I’ll step on them all for you!!! My daughter!!!!!’”, revealing her father’s message of support.
The message aroused keen attention as it was like a response to Bang Si-hyuk’s remark “Can you step on aespa?” Min Hee-jin revealed at the press conference amid her conflict with HYBE.
Earlier, HYBE suspected ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin of attempting to take over the management rights, but Min Hee-jin complained of unfairness through a press conference. She refuted HYBE’s claim and disclosed Kakaotalk messages she exchanged with Chairman Bang Si-hyuk. According to the messages, the HYBE’s Chairman asked Min Hee-jin, “Can you step on aespa?”, when she was preparing for NewJeans’s debut. In this regard, Min Hee-jin said, “I was so dumbfounded by the message that I could only reply ‘Hahaha’. I’m not the type of person who will step on someone else”.
aespa will make a comeback with their first full album “Armageddon” 4 years after their debut. During their comeback preparation, the girl group struggled due to unexpected mentions in HYBE’s internal conflict ahead of their comeback competition with HYBE’s girl group NewJeans.
As such, Winter’s father seemed to have targeted Bang Si-hyuk with his cheering message. Fans also reacted enthusiastically, saying “He’ll step on them, right?”, “Her family members are so strong and reliable”, “Winter’s father is a soldier so he may really step on them”, etc.
Meanwhile, aespa will let fans hear “Supernova” on May 13th and release all the songs in the album, including the other title song “Armageddon”, at 6 p.m. on May 27th.
