Anne Curtis, in an ambush interview after the formal contract signing ceremony of ABS-CBN and GMA Network, for “It’s Showtime to air on Kapuso TV, expressed her wish for some Kapuso stars to appear as guests on the show.
In the interview, she was asked if “It’s Showtime” would guest some Kapuso stars on the show. Anne answered in the affirmative and then proceeded to identify GMA stars that she said she would like to appear as guests on the show.
“Of course, Marian, Bea, Heart, yung mga friends, yung mga friends ko naman outside the business,” Anne said, referring to Marian Rivera, Bea Alonzo, and Heart Evangelista.
It can be recalled that rumors about ABS-CBN’s premier noontime show, “It’s Showtime,” airing on the main channel of GMA Network started surfacing after the latter’s noontime variety show “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” ceased its programming.
The rumor was finally confirmed after ABS-CBN and GMA came to the table to formally seal the deal about the airing of “It’s Showtime” starting April 6 at 12 noon.
The slot was previously occupied by TAPE’s defunct show, “Tahanang Pinakamasaya,” which cut its contract short with the Kapuso Network after encountering some economic challenges.

In the said event, GMA and ABS-CBN bosses have formalized their deal to air “It’s Showtime” on GMA’s main channel. On his Instagram page, Vhong shared a video of the executives and the noontime show’s hosts captured during the event. In the caption, the actor and TV host also expressed gratitude to the Lord.
