Bea Alonzo reportedly returned her engagement ring to Dominic Roque after calling off their engagement amid breakup.
After confirming in Tuesday’s episode of Fast Talk With Boy Abunda that the couple have separated ways, Boy Abunda said that the engagement ring was given back since no wedding is happening this year.
“I think, kung tama ang aking source, [si] Bea ay isinoli na ang kanilang engagement ring.
‘Yung prenup mo ay medyo na-shock ho ako because ang pagkakaalam ko po many months ago, napag-usapan ho ito sa aking pagkakaalam,” said Ogie.
“So did they call off the wedding? Yes. Pero marami na ho kasi ang lumalabas na April ang wedding, [sa] Tagaytay ang wedding, cinancel ang wedding. There was no April. There was no wedding in Tagaytay that was cancelled,” he added.
Abunda furthered, “Bea and I would often talk about the wedding towards the end of the year, the last quarter of the year. Pero as of now, wala. Walang wedding po na magaganap ngayong darating na Abril.”
“Sigurado ako, ‘pag nagkaayos si Bea at saka si Dominic, no wedding is going to happen.”
Bea and Dominic earlier drew breakup speculations after fans noticed that the actress was no longer wearing her engagement ring, as well as the two being inactive on each other’s Instagram pages.
Just last January, Dominic mentioned in an interview with The Philippine STAR that Bea has been very hands-on on their wedding preparations for the nuptials which was supposed to happen in the second half of the year.
Bea’s recent interview with the press, however, fueled split speculations after saying that there are still no plans set for the wedding.
“Wala pa, wala pa. Sorry, wala ako ma-share.”
The two got engaged in Bataan last July 2023, after two years of being in a relationship.
