BILLIE EILISH fans are “Happier Than Ever” because the star has confirmed her new album is complete — and it looks like she’s even begun to tease its release.

After hinting at her third project for some time, Eilish revealed its impending release with an Instagram post on February 22 captioned, “my album is mastered.” For context, mastering is the final stage of the audio production process — so, in good news for fans, a 2024 release date for a third album seems likely.

Previously, the 22-year-old noted this album will be “different” from her past projects. Ahead, everything we know about the album so far — including Eilish’s comments.

Billie Eilish billboards

In early April 2024, a series of mysterious billboards that have appeared around the world seem to suggest the release of Eilish’s third album is imminent.

On April 2, posts by multiple social media users noted the sudden appearance of cryptic billboards in cities around the world with what appear to be lyrics, accompanied by Eilish’s signature “blohsh” mascot — a gender-neutral stick figure person slanting to the left.

The billboards that have been spotted so far in New York City, LA, London, and even Sydney feature phrases including “She’s the headlights I’m the deer,” “I try to live in black and white but I’m so blue” and “did I cross the line?”

Fans were quick to note that the particular shade of blue that the apparent lyrics were written in matches the same blue that Eilish has changed her social media profile pictures to, further cementing theories that a release date — or perhaps even the album itself — could be announced any day now.

What is Billie Eilish’s blohsh symbol?

The Blohsh symbol that has appeared on the teaser billboards is a graphic logo Eilish has used since 2016. Its exact meaning is unknown, but it’s come to represent Eilish with its slanted, gender-neutral design.

How many albums has Billie Eilish made?

The record Eilish has just revealed to have been mastered will be her third studio album. It follows 2021’s Happier Than Ever and 2019’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? — which won Album of the Year at the year’s Grammy awards.

Prior to that, she released an EP titled Don’t Smile At Me in 2017.

Has Billie Eilish released any singles or a tracklist for her new album?

Eilish’s most recent release was the single What Was I Made For?. This was recorded for the Barbie movie sound track — which she performed at the 2024 Oscars — and is not tied to any album release.

The singer is yet to announce any singles or a tracklist for her third album.
