BLACKPINK’s Exhausting Schedule: Nonstop Concerts and Health Issues Impacting Jisoo and Jennie

Fans are worried as BLACKPINK has had almost no rest in the past few months.

Recently, netizens have been buzzing about the “privileges” given to BLACKPINK during their world tour. People were amazed when BLACKPINK used fancy private planes with lavish interiors, and they also received special gifts from Korean Air. This treatment befits their fame.

However, looking back, fans also feel sorry as they notice that BLACKPINK can only rest on the plane. From the beginning of 2023 until now, the group has been constantly traveling between continents, carrying out an extremely busy schedule.

Continuous travel, nonstop schedules, and countless events without breaks

Starting their “Born Pink” world tour in October 2022, BLACKPINK has performed nearly 100 concerts from Asia to Europe and has yet to complete Encore shows. In April 2023, BLACKPINK took the world by storm when they headlined the Coachella music festival.

From Coachella until now, within a span of two months, BLACKPINK members have appeared at numerous events worldwide. They had a concert in Mexico while Coachella was taking place. From mid to late May, BLACKPINK had six shows in three countries: Singapore, Macau, and Thailand, with only a week between each show.

Not only did they have back-to-back concerts, but the members also had solo events in May, such as the MET Gala (Jennie), Cannes Film Festival (Jennie, Rosé), Bvlgari event (Lisa), Chanel show in Japan (Jennie), CK show in Korea (Jennie), and more.

Fans were no longer surprised to see BLACKPINK traveling to a different country unannounced. With such tight schedules, BLACKPINK had almost no rest. The members had to fly continuously on long flights from Korea to France, then Japan, Australia, and more.

Upon arrival, they immediately had to rehearse for the concert, do makeup, and prepare for the events. Just by following BLACKPINK in the last few months, one can tell that the four members have been living on the planes.

From Jisoo to Jennie, health issues force them to pause their schedules

The demanding schedules have raised alarming health concerns for BLACKPINK members since late 2022 when the group was on tour in North America and Europe. Lisa practicing to the point of being worryingly thin, Rosé needing intravenous hydration, Jisoo having a neck lump, and various injuries affecting all four members have deeply saddened fans.

In early June this year, the worst scenario BLINKs didn’t want to happen became a reality. BLACKPINK had to perform with three members due to Jisoo testing positive for Covid-19. Jisoo was absent for two shows in Osaka, Japan. Currently, with Jisoo having recovered and returned to the stage, Jennie is the next member facing health issues.

In the latest concert in Melbourne, Australia, on June 11th, Jennie left the stage in the middle of the performance due to health reasons. Jennie visibly appeared exhausted, and fans noticed a bandage on her hand.

Some international fans commented that Jennie had been nauseous all day and was in poor health. Prior to the concert, Jennie did not participate in the soundcheck, and Rosé shared that Jennie currently needs rest.

Despite her efforts to finish the performance, it seems that Jennie’s health condition does not allow it, and YG Entertainment has officially addressed this issue.

Also during the Melbourne concert, fans discovered that Jisoo had sustained an injury as she had large bandages on her knee and ankle, and she did not wear high heels as usual.

In a brief moment when the stage lights were off, Jisoo revealed a painful expression when touching her knee. Observing the current condition of the members, fans worry that BLACKPINK has pushed their health to the limit.
