Jennie of BLACKPINK continues to break another unrivaled record with the music video of her song “SOLO”
On February 29th, the music video of Jennie’s first solo song “SOLO” officially surpassed 1 billion views after 5 years. With this record, the CEO of ODDATELIER has become the first female solo idol to have a 1-billion-view music video in K-pop history.
Right after “SOLO” MV hit 1 billion views, ODDATELIER, the label set up by Jennie recently, posted a poster to celebrate this milestone with fans right ahead of Jennie’s upcoming solo comeback.
Moreover, ODDATELIER’s congratulatory poster for “SOLO” received enthusiastic cheers. Fans are glad to see the agency prioritize Jennie and take great care of Jennie’s activities. Ever since the establishment of ODDATELIER, Jennie has continuously announced new projects and plans.
On the other hand, YG used to update a different poster for “SOLO” every time it achieved a new milestone but they did not say anything this time. This move is speculated to be the result of Jennie not signing an individual contract with the company.
At this moment, Jennie is still the K-pop female artist with the most impressive records even though she has only 3 solo songs. She recently reached a new peak on the Billboard HOT 100 and recorded the highest monthly listener number on Spotify with “One of the Girls”.
