Britney Spears has claimed that she already has a second memoir in the works — weeks before her first, The Woman In Me, is set to hit shelves.
Taking to Instagram Tuesday, the pop star, 41, shared a video of herself ‘writing’ the next installment while flying on a private jet.
Riding ‘n writing !!! All I’m doing at the moment … volume 2 coming after 1 !!! #TheWomanInMe
Britney nabbed at $15million book deal from Simon & Schuster last year following the termination of her 13-year conservatorship in November 2021.
The Woman In Me is described as a ‘brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope.’
In late September, Britney teased that she was putting the ‘finishing touches’ on her memoir — which will be released October 24.
Volume two? Britney Spear has claimed that she already has a second memoir in the works — weeks before her first, The Woman in Me, is set to hit shelves
The Toxic hitmaker’s memoir was written before her split from husband Sam Asghari, 29, and hasn’t been changed to include the drama between them.
He also won’t get a penny of that money from book sales thanks to the estranged pair’s iron clad prenup.
Despite the hype, Britney does not appear to be planning a press tour to promote the book but she did accept Oprah Winfrey’s offer to do a sit-down interview.
There is no date, however, set for her to sit down with the media mogul, 69.
Page Six reported ‘[Britney] has no desire’ to do interviews after having her ‘mental health, sexuality, parenting, and body image constantly scrutinized.’
‘They have not been fair to Britney,’ the source said.
And while she didn’t remove Sam from her book, apparently, there are some things she left out, if a recent Instagram post is to be believed.
‘There’s so much I’ve kept private that’s gone on with me personally and maybe one day I can let people know … until then, there’s 3 sides to every story!’ she hinted.
‘Your side, my side, and the truth!’ she added.
She then hinted that she would be sharing more of her personal struggles publicly one day, a month before her tell-all memoir is due to be released.
In addition to potentially covering earlier romances, the book will be covering the trials and tribulations Spears experienced under her conservatorship, which had been primarily managed by her father Jamie Spears, 70, until the arrangement was ended for good by a judge in November of 2021.
‘Britney wants this to be her moment she talks to the world, to tell her side of the story and set the record straight,’ a source told Page Six.
The insider continued: ‘There’s a fair amount of throwing people under the bus, talking about past relationships, some of whom will be revealed for the first time ever.’
In the video that accompanied Tuesday’s Instagram post, Britney is seen strutting around her private jet with her group of tight knit friends.
She’s also seen riding horseback and capturing the stunning views from the plane.
Britney looked to be in a happy mood as she enjoyed the tropical getaway ahead of her book release.
The clip was a stark contrast to a video she shared last week that showed her dancing with knives — that sparked concern from fans and a ‘welfare check’ from police.
TMZ reported that the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department had received a call on Wednesday from an individual ‘expressing concern’ over the singer’s latest social media posts – which included her performance with knives.
‘Out of an abundance of caution,’ officers made the decision to stop by Britney’s $7.4 million mansion for a welfare check.
Deputies were able to confirm that the pop singer was fine, and left her house soon afterwards. However, other sources told the outlet that, ‘several people called the cops after Britney posted the knife video…’
TMZ later reported that the call was actually made by the LAPD Smart Team – a mental evaluation unit. Authorities went to the star’s house after the caller assured them that she wasn’t just a fan.
Britney’s attorney reached out to the deputies after the welfare check, and authorities explained that they visited Britney’s home due to the caller knowing the singer
On Friday, she called ‘welfare checks’ a joke and firmly stated that she would be getting an apology from police.
‘Is it a joke in the news again with welfare checks??? Come on America … we cooler than that, right???’ she began.
‘The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me as people do 4 minute performances with them,’ she penned, and adamantly added, ‘I am getting an apology.’
Britney then added, ‘I’ve been bullied in my home for so long now…ITS ENOUGH! Don’t talk about it, come on, let’s DO!!!’
