Apparently it’s a no on the early retirement
A child millionaire who made enough money to retire at the age of 11 has decided to return to work.
Last year Pixie Curtis retired from the world of work before she was even old enough to leave school after making about £110,000 a month selling toys.
Pixie is the daughter of Australian PR guru Roxy Jacenko, who will have helped her daughter set up her money-making enterprises.
However, in February 2023 she announced that she was ‘semi retiring’ from work to focus on her education and her imminent journey to high school.
The online store where people could buy things like fidget spinners and bows from her stayed up but Pixie herself would be spending more time on her studies.
However, according to The Sun it appears as though the now 12-year-old is back at work since she’s promoting a range of phone accessories alongside her mother.
So while she might have been ‘worn out’ from working on various things and ‘happy to focus on her school work and have some time out’ it looks like she’s back.
Then again, even if you do end up becoming a millionaire it doesn’t mean you can live the millionaire lifestyle forever as if you keep spending money it’ll soon be all gone.
In August last year Curtis posted a picture of herself looking at a Range Rover Vogue, a car which is valued between $172,370 to $250,360, with the caption: “New car game strong – pre delivery viewing.”
Obviously it’s still several years before she’d even be able to drive the thing, what with being 12 and all.
It’s not the only car she’d have as back in 2021 her mum bought her a rather pricey Mercedes-Benz GL and said the family might aim to get a Rolls Royce next.
Her mum previously reckoned that if Pixie kept working she’d have made enough money to properly retire by the time she was 15.
However, since she appears to have returned from a ‘semi-retirement’ once there’s no guarantee that she’d want to stay retired.
Especially if she wants to be able to afford all of the things that have gone on her Christmas lists.
