Christopher de Leon reminds newbie stars to be respectful to other stars.
Marami sa mga beteranong artista ang hindi maiwasang may maranasang pangdi-deadma mula sa mga baguhang artista.
Kabilang na rito ang award-winning actor na si Christopher de Leon.
Sa isang event, nausisa ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang When I Met You in Tokyo star ukol dito.
Saad ng aktor, hindi naman talaga ito maiiwasan sa mga TV series or movie na ginagawa ng mga artista.
Pero deadma lang daw ang beteranong aktor kung minsan ay hindi siya napapansin ng newbie stars.
Rason niya, “Ako? Siguro, dahil, yeah, few times.
“Pero wala naman sa akin. Pero hindi naman madalas.
“Bakit mo ako dadaan-daanan, e, mas magiging mahaba ang role ko sa kanila.”
Hindi raw ito big deal sa kanya.
Aniya, “Pag nag-eksena kami, kailangan mo rin naman akong kausapin. Kailangan ko rin siyang kausapin.
“Pero pagkatapos sa eksena, papasok lang ako doon sa, I mean, I just go inside my quarters.
“Usually naman sa shoot, shooting, movies, tapings, I’m still very private. I mean, like, I’m very private.
“But after the scene, I talk to the, during the set-up, I talk to the cast, and they talk to me about the approach, how to go about the scene, and then anong kailangan ko sa direktor, and then kailangan ko, namin sa co-actors.
“And then after that, a little blah, blah, blah, ‘Hi, hi, hi,’ greeting them each day, you know, very positive attitude.
“And after that, I go back to my room. I go back to my station.
“And then after that, when I need their help, lumalapit ako.
“But the thing is, ang gusto ko sabihin is, sa amin, yung napangaral sa amin before is to be respectful.”
“GANDA YUNG TURO NUNG ARAW.”
Kasunod nito ay nagbalik-tanaw si Christopher noong panahong nagsisimula pa lamang siya sa showbiz.
Saad niya, “Kasi yung era namin, nanggaling sa era ng LVN, Sampaguita, tapos nag-crossover na ng Regal, ng Viva.
“Then, nag-ABS na, nag-GMA na.”
Malinaw pa raw sa kanya ang mga turo sa mga artista noon ng movie companies or managers nila.
Kuwento niya, “Nung araw [na turo], ‘Huwag kang lumabas nang hindi ka ayos, huwag kang…’
“Yung mga ganung klase na, ‘Be respectful,’ especially and then courteous, especially kung fans.
“Kailangan lagi kang entertaining kahit kapano.
“And then, lalo na ngayon, siguro noon, wala yung mga picture, picture, picture.
“Noong araw, autograph, autograph, autograph, di ba?
“Wala namang cellphone nung araw, but you have to sign all of them. You have to sign all of them.
“Ganda yung turo ng araw.”
Nagkuwento rin si Christopher ng mga natutunan niya mula sa mga magulang na pareho ring artista.
“Kasi, I come from a family of actors.
“My mom is an actor, Lilia Dizon.
“My daddy is an actor, Gil de Leon.
“They’re all contract stars of LVN and Premiere. So, yun.
“Doon ako lumaki. So, yun ang nakagawian ko.
“Siguro yung mga bago ngayon, hindi na naituturo sa kanila, but it’s better, it’s much better to be respectful to whoever is there. Whoever is an actor.
“Pero siyempre, meron ako mga moods na I’m into the character when I’m in the set.
“Hindi ako nangingibo masyado o konti lang kuwentukan kasi I’m getting into the scene already.”
