A very close friend of Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones confirms that the married couple have been separated since 2019. Jericho and Kim tied the knot on May 1, 2014.
After several years of rumors, a close friend of Jericho Rosales, 44, and Kim Jones, 36, confirmed that the couple had separated.
But what is surprising is the revelation that in 2019 the actor and the Filipino-British model-digital creative separated.
That means, they hid the true state of their marriage from the public for almost five years.
Ricco Ocampo, owner of i2i eyewear and godfather in the marriage of Jericho and Kim, confirmed the separation of the two.
This was done through an official statement released on ABS-CBN News this Monday, January 29, 2024.
According to Ocampo, the two remain “very good friends” despite their decision to end their marriage as a couple.
“Mutual decision” and “amicable separation” are said to have happened to the two, but Ocampo did not elaborate on the reason for their separation.
Another part of his statement: “While the friendship between the two remains, they have decided it is time to lead separate lives.
“They are encouraging each other to grow, albeit in different directions. It was a mutual decision, an amicable separation, dealt with grace and maturity by both parties.”
It is said that Jericho and Kim are very grateful for the good memories they shared and the lessons they learned.
They said they went through their separation together “with the utmost respect and care toward each other” because Jericho and Kim are best of friends, and they love each other like family.
Ocampo said: “The two are filled with gratitude for the memories they’ve made together and the lessons they’ve learned.
“They have journeyed through the separation with the utmost respect and care towards one another precisely because Echo and Kim are the best of friends and love each other like family.
“This split is not borne out of ill feelings. On the contrary, one might say that it is a demonstration of their affection and respect, as Echo and Kim only wish the best for each other.”
It is said that Jericho and Kim also thanked the people who supported them during their almost five years together, and the two ask that their privacy be respected.
“They are incredibly grateful for those who have supported them throughout the years, and appreciate the respect of their privacy during this time,” said Ocampo.
Despite their separation, it is said that their work collaborations are still going on, just like a movie where Kim is the writer, director, and actor, and Echo is the stand-in producer.
RUMORED BREAKUP
As early as 2022, there were rumors that Jericho and Kim had separated, but whenever the actor talked to the entertainment press about it, he vehemently denied it or tried to avoid talking about it.
In the ambush interview of Gorgy Rula of PEP Troika with Jericho after a product launch on September 18, 2022, Gorgy directly asked if he and Kim were really separated.
The actor was relieved and said, “All right guys! I love you. Thank you!”
He can easily answer “Yes” or “No.”
So others saw it as a sign that he didn’t want to talk about it.
A few days later, on September 22, 2022, the couple exchanged sweet messages on Instagram.
Kim posted short but sweet birthday greetings for Jericho, who just celebrated his 43rd birthday.
The photos uploaded by Kim show some photos of her husband enjoying swimming in La Union.
Kim said in the caption (published as is):” Birthday boy in his natural habitat. This year is yours @jerichorosalesofficial!!!!”
Jericho replied: “I loooove! Back at you, [queen]! [heart emoji].
Netizens assumed that this was the two’s way to deny the news that their relationship was going through something.
But entering 2023, the issue of Jericho and Kim’s separation is still not dead.
In an interview with Jericho in June 2023, he was questioned again about the breakup rumor.
The actor did not directly answer the question, but said that he just lets people think what they want to think.
Jericho casually replied, “People are entitled to think what they think. I mean, what am I going to do? I’m just going to laugh.”
He added, “But it’s okay, people are entitled to their own opinion, I’m really not that type of person that I really have to explain myself to anyone.
“What you see is what you get. As long as you live in peace, in love and respect, that’s what’s important to me.”
Until now in 2024, the noisy news that Jericho and Kim have ended their relationship as a couple has not disappeared.
This is despite their constant exchange of messages and comments on each other’s Instagram posts.
But it’s noticeable that the couple hasn’t been posting pictures of them together or of each other for a long time.
When the Philippine Entertainment Portal visited Jericho’s Instagram account (@jerichorosalesofficial), his last post with a picture of Kim was “76 weeks” ago or around August 2022.
On Kim’s Instagram account (@kimcamjones) there are hardly any pictures of Jericho in recent years.
In PEP.ph’s most recent interview with Jericho on January 12, 2024, Jericho refused to comment on the blind item that allegedly refers to them: a famous actor who has separated from his beautiful wife and is just fixing their annulment but in Despite the separation, the two are still friends.
Jericho answered when asked about it: “No comment because it’s not the place.”
But the actor made sure that his relationship with Kim is fine.
He said, “I never really talk about my relationships but we’re happy, we’re good.
“Kim and I, we’re amazing, we’re fantastic.”
The two met in March 2011 through the wife of Dominic Ochoa, an actor.
Echo and Kim became in a relationship in October 2011, but they only made it public in March 2012.
They got engaged in August 2013.
Jericho and Kim got married through an intimate garden wedding ceremony at Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort & Spa in Boracay Island, Aklan, on May 1, 2014.
They did not have children.
