Dominic Roque said he’s now doing fine—a few months after he and his ex Bea Alonzo announced that they decided to call off their engagement.
GMA’s Saksi reported that the actor is moving on from their split and that everything is now “okay.”
“I’m okay. I’m happy, yeah, actually. Everything’s okay,” he told reporters at a recently concluded event, adding that he’s been busy managing his business as well as traveling and doing content on social media.
In another video posted on TikTok by entertainment reporter MJ Marfori, he can also be seen sharing that he has changed his phone’s wallpaper from a photo of Bea and her dog to something else. This comes a month after a video of him went viral as eagle-eyed social media users caught a glimpse of his lock screen while he was having fun with the audience at a public appearance.
Marfori then asked him if he still has hope that he and Bea could reconcile again. “Sa tingin mo, wala na?” To which, he responded with a “thank you” and laughed.
Bea and Dominic confirmed their breakup in a joint Instagram post on Feb. 11. Days before that, veteran host Boy Abunda announced their split after public speculation about it had spread online.
They first sparked dating speculations in 2019. After a period of being spotted together in similar locations, the GMA-7 star confirmed their romance in August 2021, saying it “just came out naturally.” They got engaged in July last year.
Bea previously said that they were planning to tie the knot in 2024.
