Actress and television host, Kim Chiu recently offered a glimpse of her “fruit of labor” rest house in Tagaytay. This tour followed her achievement of reaching 3 million subscribers on YouTube, as she had promised her followers that she would reveal her rest house once this milestone was reached.
Inspired by her dream destination of Canada, Kim incorporated elements such as lighting posts and pine trees in the exterior design.
She explained that she decided to revamp the exterior, shifting from dark to light shades of brown and beige, adding canopies and wood designs to blend harmoniously with the environment and create a peaceful atmosphere. She emphasized, “Literal na rest house talaga ‘to kasi makakapag-rest ka tsaka makakapag-isip ka talaga (This is truly a rest house where you can relax and contemplate).”
The exterior of her house features amenities like a heated pool, a fire pit, a dirty kitchen, and an outdoor space that can transform into a dining area for quality time with her family and friends.
Kim also showcased a “Fu dog” statue, a traditional Chinese symbol believed to ward off negative energies, flanking the entrances of homes.
Kim created an outdoor living area where she and her guests can enjoy coffee breaks, unwind, and breathe in the fresh air. This spot offers a breathtaking view of Taal Volcano, making it a perfect spot for recharging and rejuvenating.
Kim has plans to continue the tour of her rest house in the second part of her vlog, ensuring her audience gets a complete glimpse of what’s inside of her retreat.
