Christmas is a time to forgive, and actress Faith da Silva did so with her estranged father, actor Dennis da Silva.
After years of being apart, Faith finally visited her dad who is serving a life sentence at the Muntinlupa City Jail.
Faith, on Dec. 20, shared a photo with her dad and her brother Silas inside the facility, thanking God and those who made the reunion possible.
“Thank you God for this heart warming gift this Christmas,” she wrote. “Grateful for @kuyakim_atienza and General Gregorio Catapang for making this happen.”
Sparkle GMA Artist Center also shared a clip of the touching reunion on their page, which sees Faith wiping her tears after she hugged her dad.
Dennis was arrested over 20 years ago when the actress was just two years old. He was accused of rape and child abuse. In 2020, he was found guilty and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
Faith, during an event in 2018, told the press that she was not ready to meet her father yet.
“I know he’s my dad by blood, pero yung relationship namin parang hindi nabuo because we didn’t see each other while I was growing up,” she said.

Faith said, however, that she had already forgiven her dad and was ready to start over when he was ready.
