Former Oh My Girl member JinE apologized for her social media post about aespa’s Karina and Lee Jae Wook dating.
On February 28, the former idol shared an Instagram story of an image of herself against a snowy background and a caption that reads, “Karina Karina Karina nanrina (there’s an uproar) lol.” Some netizens and fans expressed JinE should not have involved herself in the dating news and did not appreciate her wordplay of Karina’s name. Still others claimed she was mocking Karina and Lee Jae Wook’s dating news.
Though she’s no longer a public figure, JinE has been receiving a lot of backlash for her post, including malicious comments. A day later on February 29, she took to Instagram to post an apology, writing, “I’m sorry if it seemed offensive. I meant to say I was disappointed because she’s my favorite member.”
In related news, Lee Jae Wook confirmed he’s dating Karina following speculation about the two stars’ relationship.
