Marian Rivera has been in showbiz since 2005 and from then on, the Primetime Queen has remained an unstoppable force in every aspect of her life.
The 39-year-old star has won several awards as the queen of local drama shows, expanded her Flora Vida flower shop to home pieces and clothing line, and has committed to being a loving wife to her husband Dingdong Dantes and a doting mother to her children Zia and Sixto.
Most recently, Marian has been charming the hearts of the online world with her lively and appealing TikTok dances. The first two, which the actress began uploading on Aug. 10, have earned over 194 million and 133 million views respectively.
Proving that she’s always game to showcase her sensational dancing skills, the Primetime—and now TikTok—Queen performed her viral TikTok dances during the launch of the (Carbocisteine + Zinc) Solmux Advance Jam and the Carbocisteine + Zinc (Solmux Advance Suspension), on Sept. 16 at the SM North EDSA The Block.
During the event, Marian hyped up the crowd as she swayed and grooved to her own song, Sabay Sabay Tayo, and Jessie J’s Price Tag, with much energy alongside Carbocisteine + Zinc (Solmux Advance) dancers and the event’s participants.
The TV darling later told PhilSTAR L!fe and other members of the press that unknown to many, her TikTok dances were created out of pure enjoyment and love for dancing.
Marian began.
Despite being used to the limelight for almost two decades now, the Primetime Queen said she still couldn’t believe that her TikTok dance videos drew massive attention online.
“Hindi ko talaga in-expect,” Marian quipped. “Alam niyo, to be honest, wala talaga akong ma-react kasi kahit ako, nagugulat.
So what inspired Marian to opt for an au naturel look? She answered, “Actually, way way back bago ako mag-artista, ganoon talaga ‘yung pananamit ko kasi kumportable talaga ako sa ganoon. Pero syempre, bilang artista ka, may mga event kang ina-attendan, or you’re playing the character, so nagiging artist ka din.”
It is this comfort-over-style mindset that also made the actress one of the style icons of today, being awarded as such during a celebrity gala in September.
Basta doon ako sa kumportable ako na kaya ko gawin,” she said about the award.
But more than being a fashion icon, Marian has since been broadening her fandom—now at 12.7 million on Instagram and 6.6 million on TikTok—for her ageless, angelic beauty.
Her secret? Practicing an optimistic mindset and staying in love with her nearest and dearest every single day.
Marian talked more about this during her exclusive interview with PhilSTAR L!fe, where she said, “Stay happy and in love sa buhay na binibigay sayo ni Lord araw-araw.”
“Ang mahalaga, iyong inside. Kailangan lagi kang happy and in love with your family and specially with God. Kailangan lagi mong kino-kondisyon ang sarili mo,” she continued.
One way Marian keeps herself empowered each day is by saying a prayer of thanks as soon as she wakes up in the morning.
Then after that, mag-pray ka,” she shared.
After this, Marian would proceed to take her other dose of positivity: the warm smiles her family gives her every morning.
Just be thankful every day,” she continued.
Apart from spending her mornings with the Lord and her loved ones, Marian’s key to staying beautiful and fit at 39 is by taking weekly breaks, which she also allots to her husband and kids.
“Ang importante, kahit sobrang busy ka na, dapat may schedule for the family,” Marian said during the event.
“Every Sunday, we go to church, labas with the family. Hindi puwedeng wala, hindi puwedeng dire-diretso. Kailangan may time pa din for the family,” she added.
Besides all these, Marian stays beautiful and always on top of her game by keeping her and her family’s health in their best shape.
For starters, the forward-thinking mother and her husband would opt for nutritious food over unhealthy ones as much as possible. Working out is also a priority for the couple.
She explained, “Health-conscious kaming mag-asawa, e, as in super health-conscious kami. Medyo binabantayan yung pagkain namain. Tapos as much as possible, kung kaya talaga ng time, mage-exercise talaga.”
In a season where cough and other viruses are expected to be at their peak, Marian makes sure to protect her family against all of them by taking her trusted medicine, Carbocisteine + Zinc (Solmux Advance Suspension), which she has been using for a long time now.
Carbocisteine and Zinc help resolve cough with phlegm in as fast as 3 to 5 days when the medicine is taken three times a day.
Carbocisteine + Zinc (Solmux Advance Suspension) is available in capsules and syrup in all leading drug stores nationwide.
