G K-Pop Queen Lashes Out At “Haters” In A Savage Instagram Update

She said what she said.

Since her debut in August 2000, SM Entertainment‘s “OG K-Pop Queen” BoA has probably seen and heard it all. And while in the past, she might not have confronted her “haters,” at least publicly…

…this time, she did not hold back

In her latest Instagram Stories update, BoA addressed the criticism she has been receiving.  Calling out the absolutely insatiable nature of such crowds, the veteran idol asked that they “stop wasting their lives.”

Ending with a reminder of who she has come to be over the two decades in the business, BoA shut down the hate with gleaming confidence…

If I don’t take care of my self, you criticize me for not taking care of myself. When I do, you criticize me all the same. If I put on a little bit of weight because you keep saying I lost too much and that I need to gain a little, then you criticize me for being ‘a pig.’ I don’t know what you all look like, but don’t live like that. Stop wasting your time.

Also, I’m sorry, but I’m BoA.

…which has been well-received by hundreds of K-Pop fans who also expressed exhaustion from the blatant hate online as of late.

  • “She’s right. She’s amazing for being so real and honest about this.”
  • “She had all the right to write this. I hope more celebrities express themselves like this.”
  • “If you have never left her a malicious comment, then her Instagram update should not bother you… But it seems there are plenty of haters in the comments section.”
  • “F*cking impressive, haha! Haters should go take a look in the mirror first.”
  • “This f*cking breaks my heart. Things must have gotten so bad [for her to do this].”
  • “If this offends you… It goes to show what a hater you are.”

BoA’s transformations for her latest comeback did spark some questions. It is unclear whether her Instagram update is about the recent reactions, though BoA’s long-time fans believe the frustration must have been building up over quite some time.
