‘Delusional’ woman tells boyfriend to get a second job so she can be a ‘stay-at-home girlfriend’
A man has been left frustrated after his girlfriend has refused to work as she wants to be a ‘stay-at-home girlfriend’ and suggested he should get a second job to support her.
A woman has been slammed for telling her boyfriend to work a second job so he can fund her life as a stay-at-home girlfriend.
Her boyfriend revealed that she quit her job three months ago as she didn’t like the “toxic” people and has now refused to look for a new job since men are “supposed to take care of their partners”. However, this means he has had to “work overtime” to make ends meet and revealed she now wants to be a “stay-at-home girlfriend” and even told him he needs to get a second job to support this. When he told her she needed to look for a job, she simply told him no “good” jobs were hiring.
Taking to Reddit, the man shared that he has been having to work overtime to make ends meet, as his girlfriend is no longer earning. In an anonymous post he said: “I sternly brought up to her, that she needs to find a job because I can’t keep working overtime just because she isn’t working. It’s hard to support her and myself like this,” as reported by The Sun. That’s when she told him “No good jobs are hiring at the moment.”
She also told him she was unable to work at her previous job because it was “too mentally draining” to work with toxic colleagues and suggested he should get a second job to support her being a “stay-at-home girlfriend” to which he called her “insane”.
The frustrated man shared: “I told her she is insane for saying that, and that if she doesn’t find a job then I will break up with her. She lost her s*** and told me men are the ones who are supposed to take care of their partners”.
People were quick to weigh in on his situation, with one Reddit user calling his girlfriend “delusional”, while another brutally wrote: “Your girlfriend is looking for an excuse to stay home and leech off of you. It might be time to end it as she’s going to just take advantage and use you as an ATM machine.”
