This is a judgement free zone. The house feels empty without him. If you unfortunately know that same empty feeling, this is a place to talk.

We took our Dog to the vet because he kept vomiting and had a rash all over.
The vet told us it was because he was allergic to grass and it was the height of spring. He told us to give our dog antihistamine and not let him eat or run through long grass.
We bought a running machine and only let him on the concrete when we were outside. No improvements.
We called the vet, they booked us an appointment with someone else who told us the previous guy was wrong, and that my boy had a severely enlarged spleen and would need immediate surgery to have it removed.
Post surgery we were give some medication for him to take daily, for the rest of his life.
A few months later, we had a vet (a farm vet from a different company) come round to do the donkeys vaccinations, while he was there my boy collapsed. The vet rushed him to his van to check him over, then said that he was taking him back to the practice and to meet him there.
When we got there we explained the history and showed the medication we were giving him. That was when we found out that there was never anything wrong with my dogs spleen, that he was probably just allergic to the food we were giving him and THE F*****G MEDICINE WE WERE GIVING HIM WAS NOT APPROVED!
My dog died of massive organ failure because our vet wanted to include our dog in a new trial of a medicine that was previously found to cause more harm and considered a danger.
Our vet lost his practice, licence and right to stay in the country (his Visa was dependant on him operating a business).
The drug has now officially been shelved after being banned in Europe and all I got was a payment for the value of my dogs breed and cremation expenses which was covered by insurance anyway.
My wife says she hopes to never see me that angry again, but I think the anger was the only thing that got me through the heartbreak.
