Actress Hwang Jung-eum, who recently revealed her ongoing divorce lawsuit, shared her philosophy about people.
On March 20, a video featuring Hwang Jung-eum alongside fellow cast members of the
K-drama “The Escape of the Seven” was published on the YouTube channel “SBS Catch”.
In the video, the cast members discussed the reactions of netizens regarding “The Escape of the Seven”. Here, Hwang Jung-eum mentioned Matthew Lee (the character played by Uhm Ki-joon) as the character who seems likely to commit the worst sin.
She also made a meaningful statement by saying, “People can’t be changed”.
Meanwhile, others expressed admiration for Hwang Jung-eum’s portrayal of her character Geum Ra-hee, saying, “Your acting is really amazing.”
To this, Hwang Jung-eum responded, “It was very difficult because it was the first time I played a villain”, adding, “It was fun when I acted. It relieved my stress. But after doing it, I felt like my insides were burnt black. It seems harmful to my health.”
Meanwhile, Hwang Jung-eum, who married professional golfer and businessman Lee Young-don in 2016, announced on February 22 that she is in the midst of a divorce lawsuit.
At the time, Hwang Jung-eum attracted attention by leaving a rebuttal comment when a netizen defended her ex-husband’s cheating behavior, saying that it’s natural for husbands to cheat if they are talented and rich.
In particular, the actress replied, “I have 1,000 times more money. What do you know to dare to make fun of me? Then, I should cheat because I earn more money and I am more successful. If it’s what you think,” adding. “You’re Lee Young-don, right? Would I date a cheater if I knew he was a cheater? That’s life.”
