“I didn’t sleep for 4 days,” BLACKPINK’s Jennie talks about how tough it is to find time for sleep with non-stop schedules as an idol

BLACKPINK’s Jennie has revealed the challenges of living the life of an idol.

On the morning of March 1, a new episode of ‘Pinggyego‘ was released on the ‘Ddeun Ddeun‘ YouTube channel. The video featured guest appearances from Cha Tae HyunOh Na RaYang Se Chan, Jennie, and Lee Jung Ha from tvN‘s new show ‘Apartment 404.

Jennie shared, “I woke up at 7:45 in the morning. I can’t sleep because of the jet lag.” She added, “But I think I’m getting used to the morning shoots now because of the filming for ‘Apartment 404.’ I think I’ve adapted to early shoots like this in my life.

Yoo Jae Suk teased, “So you’re saying you don’t like it? You don’t like how your makeup turned out?” Jennie laughed, replying, “I keep malfunctioning (because it’s early in the morning).”

Then Cha Tae Hyun asked, “Don’t you go to music broadcasts super early in the morning?” Jennie responded, “When I’m active, I don’t sleep at all.” When Yang Se Chan asked the longest she went without sleep, Jennie said, “I think I didn’t sleep for about 4 and a half days one time. When I film a music video or have filming one after another, it was like that.”

Yoo Jae Suk questioned, “Even if you get to sleep, do you just take a nap?” Jennie replied, “Yes.” Oh Na Ra was also surprised, asking, “You still have so much energy on stage (even if you didn’t sleep that much)?

Jennie then confessed, “It was possible because I had to do it, but now I can’t do it either.”

Hearing this, Cha Tae Hyun said to Oh Na Ra, “Noona, we did it too. We did overnight shoots and took naps.” He continued, “We would go into filming a month before the 2-month-long (16-part) mini-series and shot for three months. But we only filmed four episodes ahead in a month. The rest were filmed almost on a live schedule.
