The rookie actress who played the role of Kim Mo Mi in Netflix’s “Mask Girl” was finally revealed.
On the morning of August 16th, the press conference of Netflix’s series “Mask Girl” was held at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
Rookie actress Lee Han Byul, who played the main character Kim Mo Mi along with Nana and Go Hyun Jung, appeared on stage.
In the meantime, Lee Han Byul’s identity has been kept secret, so many netizens have been curious about her identity.
Lee Han Byul said, “I was cast after the audition.”
Recalling the time when she heard the news that she was chosen, she shared, “At that time, it was a burden and I thought I should do well.“
She continued, “I thought, ‘Can I do it?’ I prepared with gratitude since the director believed in me and chose me.”
Lee Han Byul added, “While reading the scenario and Mo Mi’s story, I felt a sense of kinship with Mo Mi’s anxiety and deficiency.“
Lee Han Byul, who attended a public event for the first time, expressed her feelings, “I was very nervous and worried before I came here.“
She shared her thoughts, “It’s comforting to meet the director and be with many seniors after a long time.”
She also shared an anecdote with Go Hyun Jung, who played Mo Mi together with her.
She said, “We were called Mo Mi A, B and C in order. (Go Hyun Jung) hugged me, saying, ‘You’re Mo Mi A? I’m C.’“
Lee Han Byul confessed, “Actually, I was worried because it was the same role that had no choice but to influence each other. However, seeing the actress who played the same role with me smiling brightly while calling the name of the character, I felt relieved. I thought, ‘She loved the experience of playing the character Kim Mo Mi. She acted happily.’“
She added, “I have a warm and grateful memory of being able to receive hospitality thanks to senior Go Hyun Jung’s love for the character.”
Meanwhile, Netflix’s “Mask Girl” will be released on August 18th.
