Singer and actress IU shared an episode of getting a scar that lasted for a whole month when filming the movie “Dream”.
On April 25th, a video titled “[IU’s Palette] DREAM will show everything a movie promotion can (With ‘DREAM’ team) Ep.20” was uploaded on IU’s official YouTube channel.
In the video, IU discussed the filming episodes with fellow actors from her upcoming movie, “Dream”, at the same time revealing that she had been bitten by a mosquito during an emotional scene where she clashes with Park Seo Joon.
In particular, IU said while filming an emotional scene with Park Seo Joon, she could see a mosquito landing on her cheek and feel it. She also told Park Seo Joon, “I knew the mosquito was biting me, but I didn’t want to interrupt your emotions, so I just got a mosquito bite.”
Hearing this, Park Seo Joon drew laughter by responding that he also noticed the mosquito and so tried to do his lines quickly and end the scene, but it didn’t work.
Then, when IU mentioned that it was a mountain mosquito, causing her to scar for a month, Park Seo Joon showed skepticism, asking, “One month? Isn’t that too much?” To this, IU argued, “I wouldn’t make this up for nothing. No, it really stayed for a month”, and showed a wronged expression, eliciting laughter.
IU revealed to have received severe homicide threats
It’s been revealed that singer/actress IU recently faced severe homicide threats.
On October 6 KST, EDAM Entertainment released an official statement to inform fans and the public of recent events.
The label began, “Recently, the degree of violence toward artist IU has crossed the line. A homicide threat against the artist was received some time ago, dispatching emergency investigation authorities to the EDAM Entertainment building, the Kakao Entertainment building, and the artist’s home.”
EDAM Entertainment continued, “The artist was in the midst of a filming schedule at the time, and once the authorities concluded the investigation and confirmed that the situation was safe and secure, EDAM Entertainment proceeded to take additional measures against the threat by increasing the number of security guard assigned to the artist.”
The label also added on, “Due to the fact that this incident would undoubtedly cause strong concern among fans, and as well as that such an incident could provoke unnecessary negative attention, EDAM Entertainment deeply pondered whether or not publicizing this recent incident would be the right move. However, as a message of strong warning against malicious forces, and in order to prevent further instances of government authorities being dispatched for such abusive threats, the label ultimately decided to issue a public announcement.”
Furthermore, EDAM Entertainment provided an update on the status of its various legal cases against malicious netizens on social media. The label assured that those believed to have participated in habitual slander against against the artist, including members of organized groups and communities, will be facing a stream of criminal and civil investigations.
