The rude and disrespectful behavior of fans as IU arrived in the Philippines have sparked outrage among netizens.
On May 30, IU landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in preparation for her H.E.R.E.H World Tour concert in Bulacan, Philippines. Upon her arrival, fans immediately rushed towards the female idol, bypassing security barriers and chasing after her car. The chaos prevented IU from waving to her fans, which is normally a customary gesture for the idol at airports.
One particular female fan has come under heavy criticism for her disrespectful and rude behavior. During the commotion, she pushed her phone through the car window to record a video of IU. This action has outraged international netizens, as the overzealous behavior of some fans invaded IU’s personal space.
Not only did they surround the car, but they also followed it as it moved.
A female fan received backlash for rudely pushing her phone through the car window to film IU.
This incident has raised concerns among netizens about IU’s safety. Previously in 2019, IU herself has addressed fan behavior, emphasizing the importance of safety and order when she appears at the airport.
In particular, IU said at the time, “Please be careful at the airport. If it’s like this, we can’t greet each other. Can we do that? Let’s be a bit more careful with each other. Running too fast is dangerous. Do you understand?”
However, it seems that despite her reminder from 5 years ago, IU continues to face danger and inconvenience from overly enthusiastic fans.
