The love life of Jericho Rosales has been an open book.
One of the country’s most desirable actors, Jericho fell in love with some of his leading ladies, two of them reportedly caused the breakup of his high-profile relationship with Heart Evangelista.
In an interview with the defunct GMA-7 talk show Showbiz Central in May 2008, Heart was quoted as saying, “Yes, there was someone, there were two girls… In fact, I didn’t wanna say it kasi alam mo yun, parang hindi kasi ako ganun, e. But, oo, nagsimula iyan noong nagsisimula siya ng movie niya with the girl from Step Up 2.“
She was referring to Briana Evigan, who was Jericho’s co-star in Subject: I Love You.
Another gal dragged into the issue was Malaysian actress Carmen Soo, his screen partner in Kahit Isang Saglit, which aired in 2008.
Jericho denied the allegations, while Heart told YES! magazine years later that she wrongly accused her ex-boyfriend.
The next big news about his love life was his wedding to Kim Jones in 2014.
Kim, according to him in previous interviews, was the only girl to whom he proposed.
Sadly, it was announced yesterday, January 29, 2024, that they called it quits in 2019.

ANGELIKA DELA CRUZ
Angelica and Jericho were a budding on-screen matchups from Esperanza, which aired from 1995-1997.
They started dating in 1999, a romantic dalliance he described as “baliw” in an interview in 2016, his 20th anniversary in showbiz.
He said then, “Baliw yung relationship namin, e. Yun yung tipong talagang umaakyat ako ng bakod para makita ko siya… Nagta-tricycle ako, nagji-jeep ako para makita ko siya.”
But it was cut short when Angelika transferred from ABS-CBN to GMA-7.
KAI PALOMARES
They have a son named Santino
Although Echo and Kai eventually parted ways, Santino’s strong bond with both of his parents has remained undiminished.
KAYE ABAD
Prior to his relationships with Kristine Hermosa and Cindy Kurleto, Jericho was in a relationship with Kaye.
They were very young then and did not have the maturity to cultivate their relationship into a full-blown love affair.
Kaye herself shared with the late solumnist Ricky Lo’s column Funfare after a press conference for the ABS-CBN soap Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas, which aired on May 19, 2003, details of her nascent romance with Echo.
She said, “Maraming nakapaligid sa amin na ayaw. Echo was such a nice suitor. He’d visit me at home in Cavite all the way from Antipolo where he lived.
“Whoever his girlfriend is is very lucky. Mabait si Echo.”
In the same interview, Kaye clarified that her relationship with Echo did not overlap with any of his subsequent romances.
“I came before Kristine. No, hindi naman ako nanghinayang. I’m happy for Echo. His career is going well.”
KRISTINE HERMOSA
Jericho and Kristine were the lead actors of Pangako Sa ‘Yo, a highly popular Philippine prime-time soap opera that aired on ABS-CBN from November 13, 2000 to September 20, 2002.
The series was deemed a high point of the two stars’ showbiz career, and their love team gained a massive following.
But they were like “aso at pusa,” said Jericho in the 2016 interview.
Their relationship reportedly started around the year 2000 and lasted until 2004.
CINDY KURLETO
Cindy and Echo were in a relationship for almost two years.
They co-starred in the 2003 movie Ngayong Nandito Ka.
In one of her Instagram Q&As, Cindy said, “Almost two years. Left him for the man who became the father of my children. Someone, somewhere, will not like this post, but I’m not lying.”
The man Cindy was referring to was Barbadian British businessman Daniel Joseph Navalia, her husband.
HEART EVANGELISTA
Heart and Jericho were an item for three years before breaking up in 2008.
Jericho described their relationship as “intense.”
Since their breakup, both actors have built their own careers and moved on with other people.
Heart married Senator Chiz Escudero in 2015.
They were recently spotted in Star Magic reunions early this year, and likely will have a reunion project soon.
CESCA LITTON
Echo confirmed he was dating Cesca, a former courtside reporter and then a celebrity reporter for SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon.
He said about her in an interview, “Siya yung girl na nagpa-realize sa akin ng talagang tunay na value ng babae so siya ay puwede nating sabihing, ‘kamulatan.'”
KIM JONES
Echo and Kim met in 2011 through a mutual friend and after eight months getting to know each other, they officially became a couple.
Jericho proposed to Kim on her birthday, August 4, 2013, at the New Life Church in Alabang.
They got married on May 1, 2014, in an intimate beach wedding in Boracay.
They kept to themselves as a couple, with only a few photos posted on social media providing glimpses of their life together.
They were revealed to be concerned citizens assisting rescue operations, for instance, during Typhoon Ulysses and supporting housing projects for victims.
The couple also became homeowners in New York City in 2022.
Throughout their relationship, they had supported each other’s careers and passions.
Amidst the rumors of a breakup surfacing in September 2022, the couple attended the ABS-CBN Ball together in September 2023.
Their ninong Ricco Ocampo issued the breakup announcement.
