Jericho Rosales is set to make his teleserye comeback.

Dreamscape Entertainment announced on Thursday, June 13 that the actor will be starring the upcoming series Lavender Fields.

“JERICHO ROSALES is TYRONE DE VERA! This is THE GRANDEST COMEBACK of the Asian Drama King sa Primetime Bida! Abangan si Jericho Rosales sa GRANDEST SERYE ng taon, mula sa ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment! #LavenderFields coming soon!” the production studio revealed via a social media post.

Jericho expressed his excitement to be part of the series.

“Stoked I’m finally working with Jodi (Sta. Maria), Janine (Gutierrez) and the rest of the gang! We have an amazing cast! Parating na rin sila!” the actor commented on the post.

He added: “Love to our directors and prod! Thank you, @dreamscapeph and @abscbn ! I missed home! The golden retriever is so happy to be back! 😂”

Fans online were quick also to express their elation about Jericho’s return to television.

“One of the Superstars of ABS-CBN is finally back home! ♥️💚💙” one fan commented.

“Yesss he’s back! The Jericho Rosales is back! Seated for this one. Let’s gooo 🙌” another fan wrote.

It can  be recalled that Jericho and Jodi previously worked together on the hit series Pangako Sa’yo which premiered on ABS-CBN in November 2000.

Meanwhile, Jericho last appeared in a Kapamilya series in 2018 when he starred in Halik alongside Yen Santos, Yam Concepcion, and Sam Milby.

In an interview with Cosmpolitan Philippines for the magazine’s cover story in February 2024, Jericho shared that his goal is to take on darker roles on his next projects.

“Give me grit, give me darkness, give me real stuff. The character doesn’t follow the plot or the story, but actually, the story follows the character,” he remarked.

In the same interview, Jericho also shared hints about his other upcoming series Sellblock.

“I’m going from gray to dark — meaning, human, totoong tao,” he said.

The actor went on: “I like playing characters like that. Flawed characters. That gives me a lot of things to work on and to play with, like a character who struggles with morality. I can even play a sociopath or a psychopath.”
