Jessica Biel Reportedly Considers Divorcing Justin Timberlake As She Can’t Get Over Britney Spears Drama.
Britney’s memoir apparently stirred up the couple’s trust issues, and Jessica isn’t sure if she can get over how Justin treated his ex.
2023 was a rough year for Justin Timberlake in the media, as he faced backlash after being featured in Britney Spears’ memoir The Woman in Me, which didn’t paint him in the best light.
Even last year, there were reports that the controversy was affecting Timberlake’s marriage to Jessica Biel. Now, according to a new report, the couple continues to struggle, as Jessica can’t get over how her husband treated his ex.
“Rumors are swirling that he and Jessica are headed for a split,” an insider claimed to Life & Style. “Though they do love each other, all of the couples therapy they’ve undergone simply isn’t fixing some of their underlying issues.”
Justin And Jessica Are Getting Their Finances In Order
Apparently, Justin and Jessica are unloading their real estate portfolio, which could be another sign they’re preparing for a divorce in which they’d have to split their million-dollar assets. They’ve reportedly got properties for sale in New York, California, and Tennessee.
“Friends say it’s a sign they’re getting their finances in order,” the source continued. “At one point, they retreated to another home, in Montana, in the hopes of getting away from drama and starting over, but you can’t run away from your problems.”
“Britney’s book revelations brought up more of Jessica’s trust issues,” they continued. “But everyone thought it was super calculated. The truth is, Jessica is tired of trying to get past things with Justin.”
The source’s comments echo a report from November which claimed that Jessica believes Justin should apologize for mistreating Britney, and that it would greatly help improve their marriage, which was strained by the memoir. In Britney’s book, she makes a variety of accusations about Timberlake, including that he pressured her into have an abortion, that he cheated on her, and that smeared her in the media after their break-up).
Justin And Jessica Had Problems Before Britney’s Memoir
Even before Britney’s memoir, the Biel-Timberlake family faced a difficult time when Justin was accused of cheating in 2019 with his co-star Alisha Wainwright. Paparazzi photos showed the pair getting a little too close for comfort during a night-out in New Orleans, leaving many fans convinced he’d been unfaithful to his wife.
Justin eventually released a statement in which he said he “regrets” his behavior, though he denied an affair was taking place. Prior to that, Justin had been accused of cheating on Jessica in 2010 by the tabloids, though he didn’t address the speculation.
For now, Timberlake and Biel (who’ve been married since 2012) haven’t publicly addressed the speculation surrounding their marriage.
